There's a question that I've put as a poll on the side of this blog that asks why you think famous people are attracted to weird cults...
Tom Cruise - Scientology
Madonna and David Beckham - Kabbalah
Oprah - Pluralism
Etc
You know the biggest celebrities in the world all seem to claim some sort of religion and even if they decide they are going to be atheists (that is, not believe in anything!), they usually do this with fervour and enthusiasm.
Here are some ideas.
Perhaps famous people think that they have so many material possessions and are living the good life, that they feel they need to give something back to poor people...
Perhaps famous people are easily confused because they are blinded by their $$ and fame.
Perhaps it just feels like famous people are into weird cults because they are asked about it on television. Perhaps it's just because they're always interviewed that it feels like... well... that they're into these weird cults...
Perhaps famous people are just stupid...
... now I know that's not correct, because some famous people are extremely intelligent. (Some aren't: think Lohan, Spears, Hilton etc!)
So what do you think? Why are famous people attracted to weird cults?
Famous people are just trying to spread their fame even further, they r just doing it for popularity votes!!!!

They are attracted to weird cults perhaps because having a belief for some crazy cult for basically themselves makes them more well-known in that area. More fame and recognition

the reason i reckon famous people are attracted to weird cults is because they want to spread their fame as they will want more attention and it will make them look like they care when they may not

Perhaps the only reason people notice famous people joining weird cults because not every person's life and religious views are advertised on nation and international levels.

I think it's just that the famous people who are interviewed believe in 'weird' and 'interesting' cults. They are interviewed because they know that they will get more attention because people are so interested in hearing about new things.

Alot of famous people do sin and one way to "cleanse" sin is to join a religion. I guess they just chose the wrong one.

It's obvious what it is. Every here has got it right. It's all about the fame and fortune. All they want is to be acknowledge so that's why they are involved in "weird cults". They probably don't even care and even know what cult/reilgion they're in. If they are asked what cult/religion they are ina dn explain why, I bet they would say what ever so others acknowledge them.
