Welcome to our Blog page!!!

Hello there Bridget, Clayton, Emily and the rest!

Mr Mansfield here...

I see you've decided to have a look at my delightful blogsite. Well you are more than welcome to be here...

... please remember though, that it's important that you do the right thing - don't write anything abusive or naughty. Don't pay out other people. Always make sure you write your name under your comment and most importantly... please vote for me in the voting section on the right.

Now we've sorted that out...

I've got a question for you.

What is the value of human life? And who decides this value?

I looked on the net to find out this answer and this is what I found:

1. A medical insurance agency allows $50 000 per year as the value of human life. Not too bad!

2. The American government paid out victims families from the September 11 attacks $2 million per victim - is that what human life is worth? Not too bad at all!

3. A funeral company charges over $2000 for a funeral - is this how much a human life is worth?

4. Did you know that if you break a human body down into it's chemicals and components, the value of your skin, bones, blood, muscles etc is... $4.50. Hmmm...
I don't think I'm happy though to let an insurance agency, the US government, a funeral company etc tell me how much I'm worth!

So.

The 'what is the value of life' question is very hard to answer right? Think about it - are you really such a good person that you are worth more than anyone else? I've done terrible things in the past and will probably do them again in the future... how can I be more valuable than someone else? I get angry, I use naughty words and I can be very arrogant... I can't define my worth based on my actions. That's illogical!

Well, when it comes to valuing life though, society has other major issues that it needs to sort out.

Abortion - how does aborting an unborn baby show worth of humans? Is an adult more valuable than an unborn baby?

Prostitution - how does this show the worth of humans? Are men more valuable than ladies?

Pornography - hey, we've all done this (right boys...) - but this also devalues human life and in particular human sexuality.

So. What is the value of human life - and how does abortion/prostitution and pornography define our worth?

PS
What you may like to do is go to biblegateway.com and type in Psalm 139. See if you can find the bit that talks about how God 'knitted us together in our mothers womb'. God loved and designed you BEFORE YOU WERE BORN!

Then type in the phrase, 'While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.' Find the verse and read it!

  4. i personally wouldnt have an abortion but i understand that some women make that choice and i dont think less of them for it

also prostitution is a choice that some women make and it is their life to do hwat they please...
they probably dont follow a religion and in their eyes what they are doing isnt wrong, it is just their only source of income

dont judge people just because you believe something different

  6. i dont agree with abortion or prositiution or pornography but who takes that road has made the disicion for themselves due to the experiences that they've had in their life. No matter how much you disagree with it you cant change someone's mind, its their life if they see it as job and they way their earn their money then no one has the right to judge them.
